New Players

If your child is new to football this year, then you will need to sign up to MyCOMET.

Visit the MyCOMET login page, and click the “sign up” link at the bottom of the form.

Please make sure you sign up using your child’s name and date of birth, not your own. Use a parent’s email address as a contact, as this is what WAIBOP will use to send out information, and what you can use to reset your password. Don’t use, for example, a student email address that may expire when they leave school, as you may not be able to access it later.

Returning Players

You will already have a MyCOMET username and password.

If you can’t remember your username or password, click the “Forgot username/password’ link, and you can enter your email address to get your username and password mailed out to you.

If you still can’t find your username, please contact NZ Football Registration Help. Give them Full Name, Date of birth, club etc and they will be able to tell you your username and password.

Registering for the season

Once you have your MyCOMET username and password sorted out, you can log in. You can check and add more contact details in the contacts tab near the bottom of the Personal Info. We recommend adding email address and cell phone numbers for both parents/guardians.

To register for the season, click the “Register” link on the left hand side menu. You will need to select “Hillcrest United FC” from the “Choose seller” drop down list. Then you can “purchase” the appropriate grade football registration. For example, First Kicks is for grades 4,5,6, Fun Football is for grades 7&8, and so on.

To purchase the registration, you need to click on the green shopping cart icon to the right of the registration item. An item survey will pop up – add any comments about whether parents can help with coaching/managing, or comments regarding team placement – for younger kids we are happy to place them with friends. Please read the terms and conditions and tick that you have accepted them. Click “Continue”. Now you will see that an orange box with a minus sign has appeared beside your selected item. If you have chosen the wrong item, you can use this to deselect it.

Once you are happy with your selection, scroll down the page and click “Proceed to checkout”. Here you will have to agree to NZ Football Terms and Conditions. Then you can click “Finish” and you are done.

You should receive an email confirming your ‘purchase’ of the registration item. Note, if you don’t receive the email, then you probably haven’t completed it properly.

The registration is purchased for free via MyCOMET. Your confirmation email details how to pay fees. You will need to do an internet bank transfer to the club. Details above. Note that COMET doesn’t know about our family discount, so just pay according to the amounts detailed above.

If you wish your child to play up a grade, please register for the grade they wish to play at, and add a note in the comments section about playing up.
