Welcome to the 2025 Football Season. Registration is now open and can be accessed using the information below.

MyComet
You will need to have a MyComet username and password to register.
Returning Players can login at the MyComet home page here. (If you can’t remember your username or password, click the “Forgot username/password’ link on the login form)
New Players will need to create a new MyComet account. Instructions on how to do this can be found here . Please make sure you sign up using your child’s name and date of birth, not your own and use a parent’s email address as a contact.
When the MyComet account is created, you will receive an email asking you to verify the email address. Once you have done this, then you can login.
If a parent is registered as a player/coach/referee etc. then children’s MyComet accounts may already be linked to their parent’s accounts. If you would like to link accounts with NZ Football, linking accounts can be requested as below.
If you still can’t find your username, or have trouble logging in, please create a new support ticket at registations@nzfootball.co.nz and NZ Football will help you out.

MyComet HUFC Registration Walkthrough:
Once logged into MyComet, click on the Hillcrest United Player Registration link.
Click on the “Add to Cart” button. Please note, there is no cost to this step, registration fees are paid through a separate process.
Click on the Shopping Cart icon along the top bar, then the ‘Checkout” button.
Scroll down to select the “Free” payment option button, then click Place Order
A screen showing the Order has been placed should appear, and an email confirming registration sent to your email address.
Registration is not complete until you get an email from MyComet notifying you of your new purchase (i.e. registration).
Season Information
The season runs on Saturdays from 3rd May until 30th August, with an optional 5-a-side festival on Sunday 14th September. The WaiBop season calendar can be found here.
Please register by 14th March to guarantee your place in a team. Once teams are formed, enrolments are only accepted if space exists.
When registering, please consider helping as a coach, assistant-coach, or manager for your child’s team. Teams rely on parents and supporters to fill these roles. Contact secretary@hillcrestunited.co.nz if you are interested or would like to find out more.
Grades 2025:
A grade is determined by the player’s year of birth, linked to the age the player will turn in the year of play (e.g. a player turns 8 later this year = 8th grade)

There is some flexibility to play up one grade. Playing up 2 grades or down a grade requires dispensation from WaiBOP, and is not encouraged in most circumstances.
If you wish your child to play up a grade, please add details in the comments section of the google-form for the grade they wish to play at, and also email secretary@hillcrestunited.co.nz

Season Fees:
First Kicks (5th and 6th Grade – for player born 2019-2020):
$55 per player
Junior Football (for players born 2011 – 2018):
$115 for the first child
$85 for subsequent children in the same family
(If paid before 1st May where prompt-payment discounts will apply)
If paid after 1st May:
$125 for the first child
$95 for subsequent children in the same family
Senior Men’s Football:
$360 per player
Fee payment plans are available, e.g. $10 per week over a term. If this is set up and started before 1st May, the prompt-payment discount applies. Please contact us for more details and to set this up. Disadvantaged children/families may be evaluated on a case-by-case basis for further discount – please contact us.
If you choose to withdraw your child after the season has started, a $20 administration fee per child applies and is non-refundable, unless a medical certificate is provided.

Ensure your child’s full name and team grade are the payment reference.
Non-Return of Uniform Shorts/Shirt
Uniforms are loaned to players for the season. Socks (black) need to be provided by players. There will be a charge applied of $50 for the non-return of any item of club uniform ($50 for shirts and $50 for shorts) at the end of the season.
